Are you living your life with purpose, passion, and play?
I recently posted in group chat that after a lifetime of PTSD, anxiety, and depression…to regularly (and the majority the time) feel joy, abundance, gratitude, hope, peace, and love is such a profound and beautiful gift.
Reflecting on my healing journey, I wanted to quantify it in a framework so others might benefit and realize they can live a soulfully lit-up life, too. For me, it comes down to Purpose, Passion, and Play.
Purpose: What is your calling in life? What’s your WHY? Doing what you love, personally and professionally. Identifying and living your virtues.
Passion: Love of self (being in genuine alignment with yourself, self-acceptance, knowing you are more than enough and capable). Love and support of family & friends in your life (they lift you up and are real with you). Love and support in your community (sharing your gifts). Gratitude.
Play: Energy in your life (via quality sleep, meditation/breathwork, moving, healthy eating, responding vs reacting, and selfcare). Mindfulness and a growth mindset (curiosity, nonjudgmental awareness, willingness to learn and make mistakes, reframing, perspective). Having more fun and taking ourselves less seriously (letting go of perfection and expectations, and enjoying the process of creating/doing/being).
“Atomic Habits” author, James Clear’s research shows if you decided to make just a 1% change, daily, for 1 year, the compound effect would be 37x better/different than where you are now!!
If you want to feel more purpose, passion, and play in your life; ask yourself how could you make a small change or take a small step forward, today, towards who you want to be or what you want to create in this world. Those small changes add up!
How are you living your life with purpose, passion, and play?
